About Kristin:

Kristin is an AHBA and CKC herding judge with many years judging and clinician experience.  Kristin is very busy with judging assignments and is also very active with DownRiver Farm in Hope, British Columbia.  She has long been herding with her Shelties.

About Marilyn:

Marilyn returns to us for her third visit as clinician.  She is an AHBA judge and is often seen at trials working hard as stock manager with her cattle dogs.

Clinic Details

This is an all breed herding clinic for dogs that have been instinct tested and/or have had previous experience working stock.  Our clinicians will assist handlers in fine-tuning their training techniques and team performance in working sheep and or ducks.

Possible Clinic Topics:

Handling assistance/guidance for the teams

Small Pens and free-standing pens

Moving stock and stock knowledge (ducks and sheep) with your dog breed

Breaking down the elements of gate work and gate sorting

People moving sheep and ducks

Confidence building exercises for working dogs

Drives and Cross Drives (advanced dogs)

Working with different breed specific talents

Dry camping on site with water and Porta Potty available.  Lunch is included for working spots, and available to auditors for $15.00/day.

Auditing (Multi-day)

: 90.00 CAD

Auditing (One Day)

: 50.00 CAD

Working (Multi-day)

: 300.00 CAD (paid before Sept 15, 2025)

Refund Policy

: $100.00 non-refundable deposit should be sent with registration. Refund less deposit available if working spots can be filled.

After Sept 15, 2025, working spots are $335.00 CAD.

Lunch, breakfast snacks, coffee and tea included in working spot fee.

Lunch/Snacks/Meals:

Included: U-make sandwiches, salad, cookies. Bring your own water bottle and coffee cup. Filtered water is available for drinking. Breakfast breads, coffee & tea.

    From Hwy 3A:  Glade Ferry Rd to ferry (opposite the ESSO on Hwy 3A).  4 minute ferry ride, then drive to first cross street and turn right.  Farm is 3/4K down Glade Rd on driver’s left.
