Zeke has been training herding dogs for over a decade, with a passion that began taking shape in competitive trials in 2016 in Bancroft, Idaho. That same year, he earned the title of Reserve Novice Champion in cattle and successfully qualified six different dogs for the MSSA Nationals.
Progressing quickly through the ranks, Zeke competed as an intermediate handler in just one trial, qualified for nationals, and went on to win the Intermediate Sheep Nationals at the MSSA. Since 2018, he has competed as an Open handler.
In addition to his personal accomplishments, Zeke has helped others succeed—assisting two individuals in finding and training their dogs, both of whom went on to win national titles: one in the Open and Ultimate Stock Dog category, and the other in Novice. To date, over 25 dogs started and trained by Zeke have qualified for MSSA nationals.
Outside of the arena, Zeke enjoys a busy family life with his wife and six children, spending most of his time chasing after them.
