The goal of our breeding program is to produce biddable, keen, cross-over (sheep / cattle) stock dogs who are a pleasure to work and to own. We strive for well-built dogs who are strong enough to handle most cattle but biddable enough to be handled by most handlers. We believe in (and practice) appropriate genetic and health testing on all dogs in our breeding program.
We are not ‘breeders’. We limit ourselves to two (rarely three) high quality litters each year. Our goal is to always cross the best on the best to produce pups who can potentially out perform their parents. While we trial and work to produce quality trial dogs, we also have several pups from our prior litters who are doing ‘real’ work on large (or small) sheep and cattle ranches. Additionally, we have a few who join their owners in other types of competition (including scent work and agility) or are the perfect everyday companions.
We are blessed to have SlashJ Edge in our kennel as our primary stud dog. Not only is Edge a proven performer (winning or placing at the top level in several prestigious cattle AND sheep competitions before he turned three years old), but he is also a proven producer off several different types of bitches. His renown is such, he will soon have offspring in Australia. Edge demonstrates the build, temperament, and cross-over ability we strive to produce in all our pups.
He is available to a select few outside females each year.
