Lyle

Lyle -I say, he is  trial dog, easy to get along with, the life of the party around other dogs, will get along with any person and any dog that wants to get along — if there is Alpha confrontation he will stand his ground but has not been the cause of the problem. 

Mostly I have used Lyle as a trial dog, have worked him in pasture, and with pairs some, he will hold his own with most cows but if the right cow or group of cows comes on a fight, he will give and back off. I never kept him out long and am not sure what his duration would be. Pretty hot in our country so in the pasture I use him about 30 minutes to an hour when working hard, and he’s pretty hot and tired.

Trained by others, and uses whistle or voice command , loves the 4 wheeler, and the buggy, works super around a horse ,I only used him with a horse in Arena Trials , clean in the kennel, and travels in dog boxes well, and has been hauled several thousand miles and is super cool in his movements, and has a ton of natural ability, and instinct, reads his stock well. He has SUPER outruns and I have him gather practice heifers out of large traps, if he sees them, he brings them in.  Lyle does get sticky from time to time, I never broke him of that. He loves the water tub!

Lyle had a back leg injury back when he was a much younger dog, and before I got him. I took him to vet and the vet said he had a knee cap problem. they put him on dusquine and i have had no issues with that since. 

He will make anyone a Great friend and will do anything for you,- if you give him stock to work everyday! My opinion is that Lyle needs an experienced handler, he is still young and will sometimes try to pull the wool over your eyes. To keep Mr. Lyle  happy he needs to work a lot, and  everyday would make him happy. 

 I have to wonder what kind of pups he would produce on the right female. He comes from a very popular pedigree and has siblings and relation that are in the working stock dog world.
