A surprise mating of my #1 dog, 22 mo. old Pete, and my head bitch, 4 yr-old Meg. Meg delivered 5 healthy pups on 1-June: 3 males / 2 females.
Pete is the son of Dewi Jenkins’ Clwyd Bob and James McCloskey’s Nel (by his exceptional Sweep). Pete is the best dog I have ever owned. Perfect style, stock dog temperament, instincts. McCloskey asked to buy him. Dewi said he is 100% class. Pete is better than his sire, Bob, on par with his grand-sire, International Supreme Champion, Jock.
Meg is pure tough. She isn’t my best working dog, but she is my toughest, something she inherited from her sire, Martin Feeney’s renowned, rugged Jack. She is build like a brick house. Both her parents are past Irish Team members.
The litter should fall right in the strike zone of ideal working pups: powerful, intense, smart, intuitive and biddable.
Pups black and white with classic markings. Photos will be updated as the pups grow.
Puppies stay on the farm until 16 weeks for socialization and evaluation on sheep. Puppies are evaluated on sheep at 12 weeks old. Working farms rather than sheep dog competitors preferred. Pups located in Strafford, Vermont.
Pete is 100% clear on the Orviet Full Breed Profile. Meg is a CEA and IGS carrier, coming from James McGee’s Glencregg Silver (CEA) and David Howell’s Nip (IGS).
