More about Red Tri ABCA Puppies

Male and female pups available out of my two main using dogs on our cow/calf pair operation and also work my flock of sheep and goats. The sire, Reed, prefers the head. He has always been very levelheaded, smart with natural balance, and great feel and rate. He’s intense but biddable and takes correction well. He is my go-to dog to for any job- sheep, goats, or cattle and has go all day stamina. He has a lot of presence and is brave enough but gets out of the way when he needs to. He is also the best family dog, has a rock-solid nature, and is great with other dogs and people.

Peaches is a little more grippy and forward, she loves confrontation from stock, and bites head, heel, and front foot. She can be a little reckless but stays out of the way well enough not to get hurt. She’s a great pair dog but can be a little hard on sheep if I don’t keep my thumb on her. She has a lot of presence, cover, and rate. She is also a great family dog, she can be confrontational with other dogs but is manageable. If I had to find weaknesses in both dogs it would be that I had to work to put an outrun on them.

I go to one or two cattle trials a year and have trialed Reed for several years and done well. Peaches made her trial debut this year and was also competitive. Both of these dogs require little management while working, they are not the mechanical type. Both parents are qualified for the 2026 MSSA Finals.

This is a second time cross. The first one is now over a year old. All ten puppies from the first litter turned on to stock with some variability in drive and I’ve received great feedback overall from all the owners so far.

All available puppies are red tri, there will be smooth and medium coats. Reed is 55 lbs, Peaches is 45, puppies from previous litter had good size and bone, should mature to 40-50 lbs. Puppies were born Nov 12 and can head to new homes early to mid-January. I am tentatively planning to go from Montana to Texas mid-January and could meet with puppies along the way.
