Arwyn Davies, a distinguished sheepdog handler from Bryneglwys, Denbighshire, Wales, has garnered significant acclaim in the world of sheepdog trials. Raised on his family’s farm, which manages approximately 1,000 sheep and 80 suckler cows, Arwyn developed a profound connection with sheepdogs from an early age. His journey into competitive trialing began at 15, and he quickly demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication.
In 2019, at the age of 25, Arwyn achieved a historic milestone by becoming the youngest captain of the Welsh National Sheepdog Trials team. This honor followed his victory at the Welsh National trials in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, where he led his dog Peg to top the score sheets over three days of competition.
With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of sheepdog training and handling, Arwyn Davies offers invaluable insights and techniques to those eager to enhance their herding skills.
Arwyn will be working with each dog and handler to improve on basic and advanced herding skills. Handlers can elect to work in the arena and/or pasture. Limited to 8 dogs per day. Each handler is allowed 1 dog per day and each dog will be worked 2x.
Working spots: $400 for 3 days or $175/day.
Auditors welcome $20/day or $50 for 3 days
