About Derek:

Derek Scrimgeour is recognized as one of the top breeders and trainers of Border Collies in the UK.  In 26 years of trialing, he has represented England in the International and World Trials 22 times with 12 different dogs. His dog, Laddie, was the 2008 English National Champion, his bitch, Lyn, was the 2004 English National Reserve Champion, and his bitch Fleece was the 2014 English National Reserve Champion. Many handlers are now becoming successful after using Derek’s training methods. Derek is well known for his popular videos ‘Training Secrets of a Hill Shepherd’, ‘A Hill Shepherd Trains His Border Collies’, and ‘The Shepherd’s Pup’ as well as his book, ‘Talking Sheepdogs’.

Clinic Details

The Clinics are open to all levels of dogs and will go from 8:00 AM to 5 PM each day. The cost is $450 for 2 days or $850 for all 4 days with a dog. Spectator spots will be available for $100 per day. Continental breakfast and lunch are included with the clinic.

    Directions to theclinic from Tulelake:
    Go south on Hwy 139 appx 3-1/2 miles and turn left on Co Rd 101. For reference
    purposes, there is a blue house on that corner. Follow 101 until it dead ends into Co Rd 114. Turn right on 114 and go exactly 2 miles. We are on the right-hand side and the place sits off the road about 1/8 of a mile. There is a metal sign with a dog and a cow where you turn in. A GPS will generally not get you here!
