The oldest continuous sheepdog trial in the country held in conjunction with the Linn County Lamb and Wool Fair.

Driving Directions

From the South:
Take I-5 to exit #233 for Albany. Turn left at the light at the top of the ramp (highway 20). About 8 miles on take highway 226 to the left. Follow 226 into Scio then turn right (following 226) just past the Car Quest auto parts store and before you cross the bridge. After about 1.2 miles turn right on Franklin Butte Rd.. The entrance to the trial field is about 400 yards up on the right.

From the North:
Take I-5 to exit #238 (the Scio Exit). At the bottom of the ramp turn left. At the stop light in Jefferson turn right onto Jefferson-Scio Rd.. Follow this road into Scio. At the stop sign turn right, go through downtown then turn left onto highway 226 just over the bridge. After about 1.2 miles turn right on Franklin Butte Rd.. The entrance to the trial field is about 400 yards up on the right. WARNING: This route will be blocked going through downtown Scio during the Lamb & Wool fair parade on Saturday morning.

Alternate route From the North:
Take I-5 to highway 22 and head East toward Stayton/Detroit Lake.  Take the second Stayton exit. At the bottom of the ramp turn right. Follow this road through Stayton. After leaving stayton the road will curve to the right.  Take the next left at Coal School Rd.  At the end of Coal school rd turn right then immedately left down the hill onto Richardson Gap Rd. Go through the covered bridge then turn right on Hwy 226. Take 226 one mile to  Franklin Butte Rd and turn left. The entrance to the trial field is about 400 yards up on the right.
